Unfortunately there are many in America that go without and are in need. In Winston-Salem 1 in 4 children are lacking access to sufficient food to their nutritional needs. Children in Winston-Salem suffer from other needs in their life. It takes more than a bowl of soup to mold and shape a successful, well rounded child. Many of the children we meet are starving also for love, attention, encouragement, and direction. We NEED your help as we reach out to those in despair. Meeting their everyday needs like: clothes, shoes, coats, backpacks, school supplies, toys as well as friendship, love and Jesus. If someone doesn't take the time to care in a personal way these children repeat history of their parents and grandparents, who went through life feeling that no one cared.
City Lights Ministry is providing meals and groceries to at least 500 children a week with our new mobile food pantry truck, giving clothes to 100s of children a week, providing furniture needs to single moms, putting hundreds of children in beds that were sleeping on the floor and taking the love of Jesus to the streets in 11 different neighborhoods plus feeding 250 Homeless in Winston Salem each month. City Lights continues to grow, with your help we are able to continue to reach out to more in our city.
